Hub City Races: Half, 10K & 5K
The Hub City Races take place on September 13, 2026, at the Lake County Fairgrounds in Crown Point, Indiana. The event includes the following distances:
- Half marathon
- 10K
- 5K
Entry fees listed are Half: $50, 10K: $35, 5K: $30. Kids 12 and under: $25. Children under 3 are free. Shirts are available for an additional $16 until August 31. The first 400 registered participants receive finisher medals.
Course, timing and services
All races use chip timing with mats at the start and finish. The Half marathon is USATF certified; the 10K and 5K are not. The course is an out-and-back, described as flat, beginning and ending at the Lake County Fairgrounds and running along the streets of Crown Point and through a wooded park. There are four water stops providing water, Gatorade, and gels; runners pass these stops multiple times on the out-and-back route. Three restroom/port-a-potty locations are placed along the course and are passed more than once.
The Half marathon has a 3.5 hour time limit (16:00 min/mile pace); after that the timing system is removed and no official time is recorded. Awards include Top Overall, Top Master (40+), and top three in age groups; Half and 5K also include Clydesdale and Athena divisions. No refunds are given for weather or other reasons; registrations cannot be transferred after September 1. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
