DU YOU KNOW HOW PAINFUL THIS WILBY?
The event is based at Vista Hills Public School, 314 Sweet Gale St, Waterloo, ON. All participants begin with the 25 km running segment. The run start and finish are at the school. The run course uses open roads with active traffic; intersections require caution. Turnarounds are marked with cones. There are no permanent course markings, so review routes in advance.
The bike course is a rolling loop with a separate cycling finish located just before the stop sign at Wideman Rd and Wilmot Line to avoid returning to the school finish. Drafting is allowed; time trial bikes are not permitted. The organizer advises participants to follow all rules of the road and to run within their limits.
Transition is located in the school parking lot and is monitored by volunteers. Results are determined from Strava segment times plus finish times; manual timing is available if organizers are notified ahead of time. Competitors in the 50 km or 75 km options should keep their watch running without pausing auto-pause. Duathletes must separate run and bike recordings by starting a new activity, using multisport mode, or using a different device. Transition time is calculated from run segment time and bike activity start.
