Hoya and the Hare 5K
Hoya and the Hare 5K is a fundraising running event held on October 31, 2026 that supports the Harrison High School Band program. The 5K course is entirely on the high school campus and the event is described as family friendly. Dogs are allowed throughout the event.
Distance options include:
- 5K course on the high school campus.
- 1 Mile distance.
- Virtual 5K option for remote participation.
Chip timing is used for the start and finish. A course map is provided and results are posted after the event. Virtual participants are asked to run or walk at a location of their choice, submit their results online, and can view results on the Monday following the event date.
Registration pricing is tiered. Regular registration, which ends October 24, lists the 5K at $30, the 1 Mile at $20, and the Virtual 5K at $30. Late registration, which ends October 30, lists the 5K at $32.50 and the 1 Mile at $22.50. Race day registration lists the 5K at $35 and the 1 Mile at $25. Participants registered by October 21 are guaranteed race swag in their size; afterwards swag is available while supplies last.
