Hot Flash 5K Walk/Run : Midlothian Community Park
The Hot Flash 5K Walk/Run is scheduled for October 10, 2026 at Midlothian Community Park, 3601 S. 14th St., Midlothian, TX 76065. The in-person event is a 3.1 mile walk/run. A virtual Hot Flash 5K option is also offered.
Registration windows and fees are specified for each option. The in-person registration opens March 24, 2026 and closes May 25, 2026 with a registration fee of $32. The virtual registration opens March 23, 2026 and closes October 11, 2026 with a fee of $45. Race day packet pickup at the race site is listed from 7:00 am to 7:45 am; pre-packet pickup details are to be determined. The T-shirt cutoff date is Friday, September 25, 2026.
The event identifies women in peri menopause, post menopause, or uncertain stages of menopause as its primary audience. Volunteer roles include packet pickup, aid station support (providing water and course cleanup), and course monitoring (redirecting traffic and guiding participants). Spectators and supporters may bring noise makers, signs, and other items to encourage participants.
The refund and cancellation policy states there are no refunds. Weather may cause a short delay of up to 30 minutes, course shortening or alteration, or cancellation for unsafe conditions such as lightning or ice; such decisions are at the Race Director's discretion. If participants cannot attend or the event is canceled, packets, shirts, and medals may still be distributed and participants may complete the distance independently through the virtual option.
