Chicago SKECHERS Hot Chocolate Run

The Chicago SKECHERS Hot Chocolate Run takes place on November 1, 2026, at the city's iconic Grant Park. This event features multiple distances and focuses on a chocolate-themed experience for all participants. The courses are professionally managed and timed, taking runners past several major landmarks including the Art Institute of Chicago, Millennium Park, Soldier Field, and the Field Museum.

Participants can choose from the following distances:

  • 15 km
  • 10 km
  • 5 km
  • 2 Mile Walk

Each registered participant receives a race kit that includes an exclusive full-zip jacket and a commemorative medal. After crossing the finish line, runners have access to a post-race party in Grant Park featuring live music, various vendors, and a finisher's mug filled with hot chocolate, chocolate fondue, and dippable snacks.

A pre-race expo is held at the Hyatt Regency Chicago on the Friday and Saturday preceding the event. This expo serves as the primary location for packet pickup, as there is no packet pickup available on the day of the race. The event also offers a VIP upgrade called the Cocoa Club, which provides additional amenities such as preferred corral placement and access to a heated lounge area. For those traveling to the event, public transportation via the CTA and Metra is encouraged, with several stations located within walking distance of the start and finish lines. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
