About the race
The SKECHERS Hot Chocolate Run in Chicago takes place on November 1, 2026, at Grant Park. The event includes the following distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- 15K
- 2 Mile walk
The course starts and ends in Grant Park near the Art Institute of Chicago and the Bean, with the finish located by Buckingham Fountain. The route passes downtown attractions including the river walk, Millennium Park, Soldier Field, the Field Museum, Jay Pritzker Pavilion, and other city landmarks.
Every registration includes a swag kit with a full-zip fleece jacket and a finisher's medal. The post race party at Grant Park features live music, vendors, and a Chocoholic finisher's mug served with chocolate fondue, dippables, and hot chocolate.
A Ghirardelli Cocoa Club VIP upgrade provides premium Ghirardelli hot cocoa and additional onsite amenities such as a canvas tote, a $35 hot chocolate store credit, VIP corral placement, access to a dedicated Cocoa Club area, upgraded onsite refreshments, and dedicated restrooms.
Expo packet pick up is scheduled for Friday, October 30 and Saturday, October 31, 2026; the expo location is listed as TBD. There is no race day packet pickup. Packet mailing is available for a fee and has an October 11 deadline.
Free high resolution photos and official race times are emailed to participants. Live runner tracking and detailed course maps are provided in the weeks before the event.
