The SKECHERS Hot Chocolate Run in Chicago takes place on November 1, 2026, with the start and finish in Grant Park near the Art Institute of Chicago and Buckingham Fountain. The event includes multiple distances and a 2-mile walk, a post-race party in Grant Park with live music and vendors, and a finisher mug with chocolate fondue, dippables, and hot chocolate.

The course passes downtown landmarks including the river walk, Millennium Park, Soldier Field, the Field Museum, and other city sites. Races are professionally timed and use start corrals; bibs must be visible on the front of the torso for accurate timing. Overall awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in each distance, with cash and prize-pack rewards for 1st through 3rd place. Age-group awards are given to top three male and female finishers across standard age brackets and include registration discounts and patches.
Expo and packet pickup are at the Hyatt Regency Chicago (Riverside Exhibit Hall) on October 30 and 31, 2026. There is no race-day packet pickup; packet mailing is available for a fee and has an October 11, 2026 deadline.
