Horseshoe Valley Hustle Trail & Ultra Challenge
This trail event takes place at Horseshoe Valley Resort in Barrie, Ontario on October 31, 2026. All distances start and finish from the resort main area, with access to on-site amenities, food and beverage outlets, and post-race activities.
Offered distances:
- 1 km Small Steps Run (family friendly, non-trail)
- 5 km Trail Run/Walk
- 10 km Trail Run/Walk
- 8 hour Endurance Challenge solo or relay teams of 2, 4, or 8
The course is a 5 km loop. Participants covering more than 5 km complete multiple loops. The route follows narrow single-track trails through dense forest, featuring frequent elevation changes, steep climbs, and technical terrain. Expect loose rocks, roots, and uneven footing. There is one aid station located at the 2.5 km mark, passed once per loop. Proper trail running footwear is recommended.
About the 8 hour Endurance Challenge: the event runs for a strict eight hour limit. Runners may compete solo or in relay teams and must be off course when the time limit ends. Competitors may begin a final lap only within the final hour before the event end.
Logistics: the race is based out of Horseshoe Valley Resort, 1101 Horseshoe Valley Rd W, Barrie ON. On-site parking is available. Bibs must be picked up before lining up at the start and be pinned to the front of the shirt and visible during the race. Another person may pick up a bib on a participant’s behalf if they provide the participant’s first and last name. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
