Annual Horseshoe Crab Run/Crawl
The 2nd Annual Horseshoe Crab Run/Crawl is a community 5K held in Franklin, Maine, with the start located at the Franklin Town Office on Main Street. The course begins with a gently downhill mile along Route 200, then turns left onto Cards Crossing where runners ascend the largest hill of the route. At the crest there are views to the left of the ocean. The route then descends and continues onto the Sunrise Trail, concluding with running through Downeast Maine scenery.
Registration opens May 6, 2026 and closes July 12, 2026. The race registration fee is $30.00. A post-race hot breakfast is offered for $10.00, with a $5.00 discount for registered runners.
Race bib pickup is available the day before and on race day. The event takes place in Franklin, ME at 34 Main Street and uses local roads and trails including Route 200, Cards Crossing, and the Sunrise Trail. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
