Event Overview
The Antelope Canyon Ultras take place in the high desert of Page, Arizona, offering participants a technical running experience through a variety of unique geological formations. The courses feature a mix of slickrock trails, deep sand, and canyon travel. Depending on the chosen distance, runners navigate iconic landmarks such as Horseshoe Bend, the Page Rim, and various slot canyons including the Upper Antelope Canyon.
The event is held on a mix of public lands and the Navajo Nation reservation. Due to the nature of the terrain, which includes ladders, cables, and rock hopping, the courses are considered slower than typical road or smooth trail races. The event adheres to a cup-free policy, requiring participants to carry their own reusable hydration systems.
