Hopwood Trot
The Hopwood Trot is a multi-terrain course of approximately five and a half miles (8.8 km) on the paths, tracks and country lanes surrounding historic Hopwood Hall on the outskirts of Middleton in Greater Manchester. The course surface includes sections of country lanes and unpaved tracks and is not suitable for wheelchairs.
Registration for number and chip collection is based in the Sports Hall of the college. The race start takes place on the adjoining sports field before joining the course proper.
Entry is restricted to participants aged 16 or older on the event date. There is an overall entry limit of 200. Entries open on 30 December 2025 and close on 3 August 2026. Entry fees are listed as £12.00 for UKA members and £14.00 for non members.
Prizes are awarded to the first three male and first three female finishers, to the first in each age category, and there are team prizes for male and female teams.
