Hopwood Trot

The Hopwood Trot is a multi-terrain running event on the paths, tracks and country lanes surrounding historic Hopwood Hall on the outskirts of Middleton in Greater Manchester. The course measures about five and a half miles (8.8 km) and follows varied footing through parkland and rural lanes. The route is not suitable for wheelchairs.

Registration, including race number and timing chip collection, is based in the Sports Hall of the college. The public start takes place on the adjoining sports field before runners join the main course.

Prizes are awarded to the first three male and first three female finishers, to first in each age category, and to the top male and female teams. The event has a minimum age of 16 and an entry limit of 200 participants. Entry fees are listed separately for UKA members and non members.
