Hopwood Trot
The Hopwood Trot is a multi-terrain course of approximately five and a half miles (8.8 km) on the paths, tracks and country lanes surrounding historic Hopwood Hall on the outskirts of Middleton in Greater Manchester. The course is not suitable for wheelchairs.
Registration (number and chip) collection is based in the sports hall of Hopwood College Sports Pavilion on Rochdale Road, M24 6XH. The start takes place on the adjoining sports field before joining the course proper.
The event is scheduled for 5 August 2026. Entries open 30 December 2025 and close 3 August 2026. There is a minimum age of 16 or older and an overall entry limit of 200; entries recorded so far number 30. Entry fees are listed as UKA Member £12.00 and Non Member £14.00. Entry requires logging in or registering with the SiEntries system.
Prizes include awards for the first three male and first three female finishers, first in each age category, and male and female team prizes. The event is organised by Middleton Harriers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
