Crow Hill Reverse Fell Race
The Crow Hill Reverse Fell Race is a mid-summer out-and-back fell race starting from Mytholmroyd. The course uses some of the Calder Valley’s short, steep climbs onto the moors, continues with a runnable section across to Crow Hill, and returns with a short diversion through Redacre Woods, a woodland descent near Mytholmroyd.
The event covers approximately 5 miles with about 305 m of ascent. It is classified as BM under FRA rules. GPS devices are permitted and the course is fully flagged. There are no junior races and the minimum age for entry is 16.
There is limited parking at the Dusty Miller, Mytholmroyd, the community centre and surrounding streets; public transport and car sharing are recommended where possible. Entrants should carry basic safety kit in case of adverse weather, for example a waterproof jacket, hat, gloves and a whistle, and may be required to carry full FRA kit if conditions require a kit check.
Prizes are awarded for top finishers and a range of age categories, with male and female team prizes calculated from the top three counters. All proceeds from the race are donated to the Calder Valley Search & Rescue Team. The race is part of Todmorden Harriers’ Summer Series.
