Crow Hill Reverse Fell Race
The Crow Hill Reverse Fell Race is a mid summer out and back fell race that runs across moorland in the Calder Valley. The course samples short sharp climbs up onto the moors, includes a runnable dash to Crow Hill and back, and takes a slight diversion through Redacre Woods for a woodland descent.
The event is held at the Dusty Miller, Mytholmroyd, HX7 5LH. Distance 5m approx. Ascent 305m approx. Category BM under FRA rules. The race is open to runners aged 16 and over. GPS is allowed and the course is fully flagged. There are no junior races. Entry on the day only, cost £5.
The race forms part of Todmorden Harriers' Summer Series alongside Blackstone Edge, Hebden Bridge Fell Race and Stoodley Pike. Prizes are awarded for 1st to 3rd men and women, various veteran and under 23 categories, and male and female team prizes based on top three counters. A course map is provided.
Safety and kit advice notes that runners should carry at least a waterproof jacket, hat, gloves and whistle; there may be a kit check and competitors should be prepared to carry full FRA kit if required. Parking is limited at the venue, Mytholmroyd Community Centre and surrounding streets. All proceeds will be donated to Calder Valley Search & Rescue Team.
