Event Overview
The Hoptown Half Marathon and 5K is a road race held in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. The 2026 edition marks the eighth year of the event, which takes place on Saturday, October 17. Both the half marathon and the 5K routes begin and end at the Christian County Justice Center located on Justice Way.

Course Details
The half marathon route leads participants through the downtown area of Hopkinsville and several residential neighborhoods. The course extends into the Christian County countryside before heading back toward the city center via the Hopkinsville Greenway and Rail Trail. A notable feature of the half marathon is the crossing of a quarter-mile Rail Trail bridge, which is the longest non-water bridge span in the state of Kentucky.
Participant Information
Individuals participating in either the 13.1 miles or the 5 km receive a runner package. This package includes a long-sleeve moisture-wicking performance shirt and a commemorative medal. Race day amenities, including packet pickup, are located at the start and finish area in front of the Justice Center.
