Event Overview
One Flag Forward - Fort Campbell is a non-competitive community event held in solidarity with a national relay. From September 12 to September 16, 2026, a single American flag travels from New York City to Washington, D.C. to honor the military-connected community. The Fort Campbell event serves as a local Run for the Fallen, inviting participants to walk or run in remembrance of those who served.
Course and Participation
The event features two distinct options for participants to choose from:
- A short route for a brief memorial walk or run.
- A long route for those looking to cover more distance.
Both routes are non-competitive and start and end at 5514 Air Assault Street. The event is stroller-friendly and family-friendly, welcoming participants of all ages. There is no cost to participate in these activities.
Features and Atmosphere
The gathering begins with a Circle of Remembrance, during which the names of the fallen are called out. The program also includes a national anthem and an invocation. In addition to the run and walk, the event site features inflatables for children and food trucks.
This initiative is a partnership between wear blue: run to remember and Team Red, White & Blue. The event focuses on the spirit of national unity and honors Gold Star and Surviving Family Members, Veterans, and active Service Members from every branch of the United States Armed Forces.
