Hoppy Half Marathon, Relay, 10K & 5K : Beatrice, Nebraska
The event is scheduled for September 26, 2026, on the Chief Standing Bear Trail in Beatrice, Nebraska, near 301 Court St. The course is an out and back route on mostly crushed limestone with some paved sections and is generally flat. Friendly leashed dogs are allowed on the trail.
Distances and formats include:
- 13.1 Miles: half marathon, solo and team relay options
- 13.1 Miles: 3 person relay, legs roughly 5.3, 2.5, 5.3 miles
- 13.1 Miles: 2 person relay, exchange at the 6.55 mile midpoint
- 10K: 10 kilometer race
- 5K: 5 kilometer race
- Virtual options: virtual 5K and virtual half marathon
Relay teams must provide their own transportation for exchange points. Race entries include a long sleeve soft blend shirt, a custom medal, bib timing, post-race refreshments, one beverage, and entry into Oktoberfest. Registrations submitted by September 16 are guaranteed a shirt on race day; late and race day registrations will receive shirts at a later date.
Awards are offered 1st and 2nd in age groups using 10-year divisions for the 5K, 10K and solo half marathon, and 1st through 3rd team awards for combined 2- and 3-person teams. The event is a fundraiser; proceeds support maintenance and sustainability of the Chief Standing Bear Trail, which is maintained by a non-profit. The race occurs in conjunction with Oktoberfest at Stone Hollow Brewing Co, which features food vendors, a stein contest and live music.
