2026 Run for Hope
The 2026 Run for Hope is a community athletics event held in Brooklyn, New York. The race takes place in Prospect Park, with participants entering the park at Bartel-Pritchard Circle, located at 15th Street and Prospect Park West. This event serves as a memorial to Hope Reichbach, a Brooklyn-born activist and civic leader, to support summer fellowships for college students interested in social justice careers.
The event offers two distinct distances for participants:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 10K Run
The courses are situated within the grounds of Prospect Park. Participants can collect their race bibs on the morning of the event at the finish line area located at Bartel-Pritchard Circle. While online registration is available until the day before the event, the organizers also provide an option for in-person registration on the morning of the race. The gathering brings together runners, walkers, and community members to raise awareness and funding for the Hope Reichbach Fund. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
