Hope in Motion 5K Wedowee
Hope in Motion is a community running event in downtown Wedowee at 200 1st Ave SE, Wedowee, AL, organized to raise funds for Hope Cottage of Randolph County, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports women and children escaping domestic abuse.
The event offers the following distances:
- 5K
- 1 mile Fun Run
Registration details in the event listing show opening and closing dates and entry fees. Entry fees listed include a 5K launch price of $25, a 5K student fee of $20, and a Fun Run launch price of $20. T-shirts are guaranteed for participants who register on or before September 11.
Packet pick-up is scheduled the day before the race at a location behind the Wedowee Utility Building.
Medals are awarded to top finishers in every division. Overall male and female winners will be recognized, and age divisions include 12 & under; 13–19; 20–29; 30–39; 40–49; 50–59; and 60 & up.
Hope Cottage of Randolph County provides safe shelter and meals, comprehensive counseling, life and job skills education, case management and guidance, and referrals to community services.
