Fun Bun Run 5K for Education
The Fun Bun Run is a 5K run/walk held on May 9, 2026 in Geneva, Illinois. The on-site race takes place at the Kane County Government Center, 719 S Batavia Ave, Geneva, IL. The event also offers a virtual race option for participants who cannot attend in person. This is the 15th annual edition.
Proceeds support education programs for children in rural north Haiti. Funds raised pay for school fees, books, materials and other essentials and this year are intended to help send 200 children to school. Hope for Haitians has previously supported uniforms, school supplies, transportation, meal programs, tuition aid and vocational training in the communities it serves.
The course is USATF certified (IL-210005-WR). The event is organized by a volunteer team and an experienced race director.
Registration fee structure is published for this edition: early registration is $30 by April 9 and includes a guaranteed race T-shirt; standard registration is $35 after April 9 and before race day with T-shirts available while supplies last; race day registration is $40. Youth registration is free for participants 16 and under.
