About the race
The Hope Continues event on October 31, 2026, in Fair Park in downtown Tupelo marks the 10th year of this annual run and walk, previously known as the Tupelo Breast Cancer Awareness Run. The event raises funds for breast cancer screenings and support services within 16 counties of Northeast Mississippi; one hundred percent of proceeds remain in those counties. The program includes both a run and a walk with timed and untimed options for the 5K distance. Registration opened in August and there are published fees for the main categories: a timed 5K, an untimed 5K, and a 1 mile walk.
The organizer reports that last year’s event raised more than $35,000. The course is described as fast and familiar, with both the start and the finish located at Fair Park in downtown Tupelo. The event format combines competitive and noncompetitive entries to accommodate different participant preferences while directing proceeds to local screening and support efforts.
