Event overview
The H.O.P.E. 5K: Running for Survivors takes place Saturday, September 12, 2026, in Alabaster, Alabama, at Veterans Park (7305 Hwy 119, Alabaster, AL 35007). The event includes the following distances and formats:
- 5K (live chip-timed)
- 1-mile fun run
Entry fees listed are $30 for the chip-timed 5K and $25 for the 1-mile fun run. Awards are planned for the fastest female, fastest male, and the most spirited participant. Course maps are provided separately for the 5K and the fun run.
Logistics and policies
Packet pickup is scheduled at Veterans Park on the two days before the event and on race day at the same location. Registration opens March 1, 2026. The event benefits survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault and is organized by H.O.P.E. - "You’re Not In It Alone," a nonprofit based in Alabama that provides advocacy, education, and resources for women survivors.
All race entries are non-transferable and non-refundable. The event will proceed rain or shine, and organizers reserve the right to cancel in extreme circumstances; in the event of cancellation, entry fees will be considered a donation to Crisis Center, Inc.
