The Hope 4 Healing event is an annual community gathering held at Tiemeyer Park in Saint Ann. Organized by Tower of Hope Ministries, the event serves to raise awareness and support for healing from childhood trauma. The program emphasizes physical exercise as a component of the recovery process.
Participants can choose from several distances and formats:
- 10K Run
- 5K Run
- 5K Wheelchair (manual or electric)
- 1 Mile Walk
- 100 Yards Kids Fun Run (ages 7-10)
- 5K Virtual Race
The course features some slight inclines and is located primarily within Tiemeyer Park. The route begins inside the park, ventures onto a neighboring street, and returns for a lap around the park fountain before finishing at the starting location. The event is open to runners, walkers, and users of wheelchairs or strollers, though bicycles, electric scooters, and other motorized transportation are not permitted. All participants must be able to complete the course within a three-hour time limit.
Parking is available at Hoech Middle School across from the park. The event includes a group warm-up and an opening ceremony. Awards are presented to the top male and female finishers in adult, youth, and wheelchair categories. For the Kids Fun Run, all participants receive a ribbon, with special awards for the top finishers in two age flights. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
