Event Overview
The Hop Hop Half is a spring-themed running and walking event held in Camas, Washington, approximately 20 minutes from Portland. The courses take participants along the banks of Lacamas Lake and Lacamas Creek, as well as through the paths of the Camas Meadows Golf Course. The event features a festive atmosphere with spring decorations, a petting zoo, and appearances by the Easter Bunny for photos.

Participants can choose from several distances, all of which are professionally chip-timed:

Course Details
The routes consist of a variety of surfaces including asphalt, road sections, and packed gravel or dirt paths. The 5K is a moderately flat loop through the golf course and along the creek. The 10K and 15K routes are moderately challenging out-and-back courses featuring rolling hills and lakeside views. The Half Marathon includes a flat first section followed by steep trails and hills between miles 4.5 and 6.5. A 4.5-hour time limit is in place for the Half Marathon and 15K distances.
Amenities and Logistics
Aid stations are positioned along the courses, providing water, electrolytes, and energy gels, with some stations featuring marshmallow treats. Post-race festivities include brunch snacks and mimosas for participants aged 21 and over. Registered participants receive a technical fabric T-shirt, a commemorative medal, a custom bib, and a champagne flute. Strollers are permitted only on the 5K course due to path width restrictions on longer distances. Dogs are not allowed at the venue or on the course.
