Hoover Choir Melody Miles 5K
The Hoover Choir Melody Miles event is a family friendly fundraising race held on October 24, 2026 at Hoover High School, 1000 Buccaneer Dr., Birmingham, AL 35244. The event supports the Hoover High School Choir Program, which includes more than 200 students across eight choirs and is part of the school’s arts community.
Event options include:
- 5K - officially timed; chipped bib, race shirt, and swag bag.
- 1 Mile Fun Run - relaxed non-competitive run with music along the route.
- Sleep In - virtual option; participants receive a race shirt.
Along the course, student singers provide live music and cheering. The course begins and ends at Hoover High School and is followed by post-race festivities featuring student singers, awards, and a silent auction. Packet pickup is scheduled for Thursday, October 22, 2026, 5:00–7:00 pm in front of the Hoover High School Performing Arts Center.
Registration fees listed by the organizer are $35.00 for the 5K, $25.00 for the 1 Mile Fun Run, and $20.00 for the Sleep In option. Sponsorship opportunities are available at $250 and $150, with sponsor placement on race shirts. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
