Hooper 4th of July Fun Run : Hooper, Nebraska
The event on July 4, 2026 is an annual community run and walk held at Hooper Park in Hooper, Nebraska. The course is flat and runs through the residential area of Hooper. Both races and the walk start and finish at Hooper Park. A portion of the 10K runs south and east of town on a paved road.

Entry fees and shirts are tiered. The entry fee is $35 with a T shirt if registration is received by June 15. Entries received on or after June 16 and day of event are $40 and T shirts are not guaranteed. Online entrants must sign their race waiver on race day before participating. Race packets and T shirts will be available at Hooper Park on race day prior to the start.
Age brackets are separated by sex for awards. The 10K brackets are: 14 & Under; 15-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60 & Over. The 2 Mile Run/Walk brackets are: 10 & Under; 11-14; 15-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60 & Over.
Awards include trophies for the top male and female overall, medals for the top three male and female finishers in each age bracket, plaques for the youngest and oldest runners, and participation ribbons for all runners. Awards and prizes are presented at Hooper Memorial Park immediately after the race. All registrations are final and the event is held rain or shine unless organizers determine it is unsafe or logistically impractical to proceed.
