Ho’ōla 5K

The Ho’ōla 5K is a running race held in Honolulu, Hawaii. The event takes place at Kalama Valley Community Park and features a 3.1-mile course through the Kalama Valley area. This race is professionally timed for competitive participants, while also being open to joggers and walkers.

Participants can choose from two specific categories:

  • 5K
  • 5K Stroller Division

In the stroller division, only the individual pushing the stroller is required to register. The event supports the Hawai’i Primary Care Association, a non-profit organization that assists community health centers throughout the Hawaiian Islands to provide healthcare for underserved families.

All participants who complete the course receive a commemorative medal. Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three male and female finishers in five-year age groups. The stroller division also features awards for its top three finishers.

Refreshments are provided at the park following the conclusion of the event. Race t-shirts may be purchased during the registration process. Packet pickup is available on the day prior to the race at the Running Room on Kapahulu Avenue, or on the morning of the event at the race site.
