Ho'ōla 5K

The Ho'ōla 5K takes place on June 13, 2027, at Kalama Valley Community Park, 555 Kealahou St., Honolulu, HI 96825. The event is a professionally timed 3.1-mile running race through Kalama Valley and allows strollers in a family-oriented setting.

The race raises funds for the Hawai‘i Primary Care Association (HPCA). HPCA is a nonprofit that works to strengthen Hawai‘i’s primary care system by advocating for, expanding access to, and sustaining high-quality health care through a statewide network of Community Health Centers. The Mid-Pacific Road Runners Club will make a donation from race income in addition to any donations made to HPCA. The event also aims to raise awareness of health care disparities in the local community.

Awards will be presented to the overall top three female and male finishers and to the top three male and female finishers in five-year age groups. There are separate awards for the top three finishers in the stroller division. Only the runner pushing a stroller needs to register; the child in the stroller does not need to register. Registration fee is listed as $25.00. Race tee shirts are available for purchase during registration. Refreshments will be provided at the park after the race.
