Hoodlebug 5K Run and Fun Walk
The Hoodlebug 5K Run and Fun Walk is an annual athletic event held in Homer City, Pennsylvania. The race is organized in conjunction with the Homer City Business Association's Annual Fall Festival, which features various local activities throughout the day. Participants gather at Floodway Park on the west end of the borough to take part in the event.
The course follows an out and back route, with the majority of the distance contested on the Hoodlebug Trail. The race is open to both runners and walkers, and the course begins on the Main Street bridge near the park. The event features the following distance:

For the 2026 edition, the race utilizes chip timing services with live results updated throughout the competition. Recognition is provided for the top three male and female finishers overall. Additionally, awards are distributed to the top three participants in various five-year age categories, ranging from ages 12 and under to 70 and older. It should be noted that there are no separate award categories specifically for walkers.
Registered participants who sign up by the beginning of September are guaranteed a race t-shirt, while those registering later or on the day of the event may receive shirts based on remaining supplies.
