Honoring The Legacy Memorial Day 5K - Belleville, IL
The Honoring The Legacy Memorial Day 5K is a run and walk held in Belleville, Illinois on May 25, 2026 to honor those who have given their lives in defense of the country. The course begins and ends at Laderman Park and runs through downtown Belleville before returning to the park.
The event supports Trail Life and American Heritage Girl Troops IL-0078 in the Belleville area and their programs that promote patriotism, good citizenship, and a love for the military. Registration fees are set at $30 if payment is received no later than May 5 and $35 from May 6 through race day. A participant T-shirt is guaranteed for registrations paid no later than May 5. Online registration is open through May 25. Checks may be made payable to TrailLife Troop IL-0078 and mailed to Honoring The Legacy 5K, 225 S. Pennsylvania Ave, Belleville IL 62220.
Packet pickup and in-person registration are available prior to and on event dates at Toolen's Running Start and at Laderman Park. Parking is available in Laderman Park and exiting the park will not be permitted until after all runners and walkers have finished. Awards include custom medals for the top three male and female finishers in each age category and custom awards for top three male and female Overall and Masters division finishers. Race packets include a bib attached to the shirt. Participants are advised to bring appropriate running attire, proper footwear, a water bottle, and a towel.
