Honor the Flame
Honor the Flame is a community 5K family fun walk/run held on 09/05/2026 in Lewis Center, Ohio. The event takes place at Dragonfly Day Camp inside High Banks Metro Park, with event access from the north side of the park off Powell Road. The 5K course begins and ends at the day camp.
The purpose is to raise awareness about the life saving importance of working smoke detectors and to raise funds for local fire safety efforts. All proceeds will benefit the Delaware County American Red Cross Tragic Loss Program and the Tri Township Fire Department of Delaware County. The event notes a recent local house fire in which a resident died after a bedroom fire began during the early morning and there was no working smoke detector.
