Honor America Days 5K Parade Run

The Honor America Days 5K Parade Run is a community road race held in Rome, New York. It is described as the oldest road race in Oneida County, first held in 1970, and has undergone course and name changes since its start. The race is held each July in conjunction with Rome summer community celebrations and follows the route of Rome’s Honor America Days parade.

The event includes a main 5K (3.1 Miles) and a Kid’s Fun Run. Participants range in age from about 8 to 80 and the event provides refreshments for all finishers and volunteers. Awards are given to male and female runners overall first through third and by age groups, including masters and multiple decade categories.

Registration is online only with tiered fees based on registration date and a student rate listed for race morning. Packet pickup is scheduled the day before the race at Copper City Brewing Co. The free Kids Race offers an optional purchase of an Honor America Days Run cooler for $5. The event is a member of the Route 20 Road Challenge.
