Event overview
The Hometown Heroes 5K takes place on November 8, 2025 in Cumming, Georgia. The event center is The Cumming City Center, 423 Canton Road, Cumming, GA 30040. The Forsyth County Fire Department organizes the race to support public safety personnel. Funds raised go to B.A.D.G.E., a local benevolent association that provides financial and other assistance to Forsyth County service organization employees facing unforeseen circumstances.
Course, registration and awards
The course starts and finishes at the Cumming City Center and follows Vision Drive, Vision Parkway, Hwy 306, Tribble Gap Road, Webb Street and Canton Highway, returning to the City Center finish at the Fire Museum. Start and finish will be chip timed; awards are based on finish time.
Registration options include in-person and virtual 5K entries plus a donation-only option with no shirt. Pricing tiers are Early Bird ($35 plus a gift), Regular ($40) and Late/Day-Of ($45). Shirts are guaranteed for participants registered by the October deadline; late registrations are not guaranteed shirts. Early packet pickup is available November 6 and 7 at Forsyth County Public Safety Headquarters. Virtual packages are shipped the Monday after the event for continental US addresses; virtual results can be submitted through November 9, 2025. Finishers receive a goodie bag with a race T-shirt (if eligible), a challenge coin, custom bib board and a snack.
