Run Like Water 5K
The Run Like Water 5K is a community road event held as the 3rd annual H2GO Run Like Water 5K on November 14, 2026. The course begins and concludes on The Water Tower Global Innovation Center campus and runs through the adjacent F. Wayne Hill Water Resources Center. The event is an official qualifier for the Atlanta Journal Constitution Peachtree Road Race.
The route passes through the F. Wayne Hill Water Resources Center, an award winning advanced wastewater treatment facility that returns high quality effluent to the environment. The WRC includes nutrient recovery and energy recovery processes and hosts about 100 tours per year. Participants will see wastewater treatment processes in operation along the route.
Proceeds from the event support The Water Tower Institute, a 501c3, funding programming such as STEM workshops for high school students and workforce training for individuals pursuing water or wastewater operator roles. Registration pricing listed for 2026 includes an early bird rate of $30 before September 15, an advance rate of $35 before November 11, and a day of registration rate of $50.
