Holyoke Pride Rainbow Run 5K and 1 Mile Fun Walk
The event offers two distances at Ashley Reservoir and the Holyoke Elks, 250 Whitney Ave, Holyoke. Both a timed 5K run and a 1 mile fun walk are included. Bib pickup and same-day registration are held in the lower floor of the Holyoke Elks building, which is accessed around the back. Ample parking is available in the Elks lot, and participants walk roughly a quarter mile from the gate to the start area.
Course details note that curves will be marked with arrows or cones and that there will be a water stop about halfway through the 5K. Chip timing and finish line photos are provided by Presidential Timing. Prizes and medals are offered for the top three finishers in male, female, and nonbinary categories, with an acknowledgment that those categories do not represent the full breadth of gender identities. Additional medals are awarded to age-group winners in male and female divisions for these groups: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus.
Event vendors and partners include music broadcast support from Jammin 100.1 and Bomba 104.5, food and beverage from Mimi Queer Shack, henna and body art from Body Art Liberation, and information tables from Holyoke YMCA and Hope for Holyoke. Dogs are not allowed at public reservoirs without service animal documentation per the Holyoke Water Commission. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
