Race information and course
The 10k road race is accurately measured and run under UKA rules. The course starts at the Village Hall, runs uphill for about 4 km, then crosses the moor before descending back into the village with a downhill finish and a lap of the village playing fields. The route uses quiet country lanes and is fully marshalled. First aid cover and drinks stations are provided in line with UKA guidelines. Limited changing facilities are available. The 10k is open to runners aged 15 and over. Prizes will be awarded to category winners; a competitor may not receive more than one prize. Presentation of trophies will take place outside the Village Hall or prizes will be posted afterwards. Subject to availability, finishers may collect a Holymoorside 10k notepad and pen from near the finish area.
The 2k Fun Run is a route around the village playing fields, entry on the day only, open to all, and all participants will receive a medal.
Entries open 8 December 2025 and close 3 May 2026. Entry fees are £20 for UKA members and £22 for non-members. Free parking is provided in a designated field about a 5–10 minute walk from the start. Scouts will provide refreshments and assistance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
