Event Overview
The Hollywood Sign Run/Hike takes place in Griffith Park, Los Angeles. The event offers several trail running and hiking distances on a scenic out-and-back course starting on a fire road just north of the Old Zoo.

- Hollywood Sign 8M Run/Hike (8 miles)
- Mt Hollywood 8K (8 kilometers)
- Griffith Park 5K Trail Challenge (5 kilometers)
- P-2.2K Kid Run (2.2 kilometers)
Course Details
The courses are a mix of trail and asphalt surfaces. The 8-mile course is approximately 6 miles of trails and 2 miles of asphalt, leading to the Hollywood Sign Viewpoint. The 8K course includes 3.12 miles of trails and 1.9 miles of asphalt, passing the iconic Cathy's Corner film location. The 5K is 3.12 miles of trails, and the kid's run is entirely on trails. Aid stations and medical staff are located along the courses.
Views and Perks
Participants can see views of the Hollywood Sign, Downtown Los Angeles, the Griffith Observatory, the Los Angeles River, Glendale, and the San Fernando Valley. All participants receive a finisher's medal and a gender-specific t-shirt. There are awards for overall and age group winners, and free photos are offered for the 8-mile participants. Other amenities include gear check, finish line snacks, and chip timing.
Logistics
Packet pickup is available on the Friday and Saturday before the event at Fleet Feet Burbank, or on race morning at the start area. Limited parking is available near the Merry-Go-Round lot, and carpooling is encouraged. The event does not allow dogs or strollers.
