Hollywood Sign Run
The Hollywood Sign Run takes place in historic Griffith Park near the Old Zoo in Los Angeles, CA. The event includes multiple trail distances that start near the same area and follow marked, supported courses through park trails and scenic viewpoints.
Distances offered:
- 8 Miles, out and back to the Hollywood Sign Viewpoint.
- 8K, trail route to Mt. Hollywood Drive, shares start with the 5K.
- 5K, trail to the top of Bill Eckert with views of Glendale and the Los Angeles River.
- 2.2K Kid Run, double loop around the Old Zoo with a P22 shaped finisher medal.
The 8 Mile course provides views of the Hollywood Sign, Griffith Observatory, and Downtown Los Angeles. The 5K does not feature views of the Hollywood Sign, Observatory, or Downtown Los Angeles. The 8 Mile course is supported by four aid stations (two outbound, two return); the 5K has one well supported aid station. Aid stations are listed as having water and electrolytes and medical staff coverage.
Event services and participant items include premium short sleeve t shirts, finisher medals for all participants, chip timing, free photos for the 8 Mile route, volunteer support, gear check, finish line fruit and snacks, music with DJ and MC, and awards and prizes for overall and age division winners.
