Hollands Duin Trail
The Hollands Duin Trail departs from Vrijstaat Nederzandt in the dunes of Noordwijk and runs over a mix of singletracks, sand passages, dune ridges, beach and forest paths. The event is staged as the 14th edition and offers four marked trail distances.
Distances:
- 6 km with 55D+ elevation
- 10 km with 80D+ elevation
- 21 km with 150D+ elevation
- 30 km with 220D+ elevation
All routes are fully waymarked with arrows and tape. Aid stations are placed as follows: the 6 km course has refreshment at the finish; the 10 km course has a station at 4 km and at the finish; the 21 km course has stations at 5, 11 and 15 km and at the finish; the 30 km course has stations at 5, 20 and 24 km and at the finish. Participants receive an information email about one week before the event and a GPX file on the Thursday prior.
Start times are organized in one-hour start blocks printed on tickets; within that block participants may start when they are ready and a crew member is present to assist. There is no disposable cup policy so runners should bring a racecup or order one. A separate medal is available as an extra ticket. The event capacity is 1460. Partners include Vrijstaat Nederzandt, Staatsbosbeheer and Gemeente Noordwijk. A pop-up Trailrunning Shop will be present with race vests, shoes and other trail gear. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
