About the race
The Hollands Duin Trail is a running event located in the coastal area of Noordwijk. Participants start from the dunes and navigate a diverse course that includes sandy paths, the beach, and forested sections. The event emphasizes a natural experience with a focus on single tracks throughout the landscape.
The following distances are available:
- 6 km: Includes 55 meters of elevation gain with a care station at the finish.
- 10 km: Includes 80 meters of elevation gain with care stations at 4 km and the finish.
- 21 km: Includes 150 meters of elevation gain with care stations at 6, 12, 16 km and the finish.
- 30 km: Includes 220 meters of elevation gain with care stations at 6, 21, 24 km and the finish.
The routes are fully marked with arrows and ribbons. This event follows a sustainable policy and does not provide disposable cups; participants must bring their own race cup. To maintain a quiet environment on the trails, runners start within designated one-hour time slots rather than a single mass start. A pop-up shop is available on-site offering trail running gear such as race vests, shoes, and socks. Participants can optionally purchase a commemorative medal featuring a beach-themed design.
