Holland Haven Marathon XIII : September 13, 2026
The Holland Haven Marathon weekend features multiple road race options in Holland, Michigan, on September 13, 2026. The full marathon is USATF certified and runs along a route that starts in Grand Haven and finishes in downtown Holland. The half marathon begins at Camp Geneva and follows Lakeshore Drive into Holland on mostly flat, paved bike paths beside Lake Michigan and Lake Macatawa. The 8K is a flat out-and-back road course that is described as approachable for novice runners and suitable for experienced racers.
All in-person finishers receive a commemorative race medal. Runners who complete all three Holland Haven distances in separate years earn a Trifecta Medal. Virtual participation is offered for the full marathon, half marathon, or 8K; virtual runners receive event swag shipped in early October. Virtual runs are completed on the participant’s chosen course and do not count toward the Holland Haven Trifecta Medal.
The 2026 event commemorates America’s 250th birthday and emphasizes running and community along West Michigan shoreline roads and paths. The event materials describe early September weather as mild and note the marathon as a late opportunity to qualify for the Boston Marathon.
