Holland College Alumni & Friends 5K Walk/Run
The inaugural Holland College Alumni & Friends 5K Walk/Run takes place on September 20, 2026, at the Prince of Wales Campus of Holland College in Charlottetown, with the main gathering area outside the McMillan Centre for Community Engagement (MCCE) at 323 Grafton Street.
The route leaves campus via Grafton Street heading northeast toward Stratford, follows the Confederation Trail through Joe Ghiz Memorial Park, reaches a halfway turnaround near the Atlantic Veterinary College, and returns along the same route to the MCCE. Course marshals will be stationed at intersections to support participant safety.
The event is open to the general public with discounted entry fees for Holland College students, alumni, staff and faculty. Registration is available from May 27 to September 18, 2026. Entry fees listed include mandatory charges: Holland College students CA$20, alumni staff and faculty CA$25, general public CA$30.
Proceeds will support on-campus student food security initiatives and the Holland Hurricanes sports teams. All participants receive a complimentary event t-shirt, race bib, post-event snacks, entry into the door prize draw, and a listing on the event results page.
