Holistic Hustle 5K/10K
The Holistic Hustle is an annual community event held at the Emmons Preserve in Kennebunkport, Maine. This fourth annual edition supports the School Around Us, a co-learning community focused on holistic and environmental education. The event brings together the school community and local residents to support outdoor activities and lifelong learning.
Participants can choose from several distances:
- 10K trail race: A timed 6.2 mile course through the preserve.
- 5K run/walk: A timed 3.1 mile course for runners and walkers.
- 1/2 mile fun run: A shorter distance designed for students aged 13 and under.
The venue features various social activities throughout the morning, including music, face painting, and yard games. Refreshments such as doughnuts, cookies, hot chocolate, and coffee are available for attendees. All participants receive a unique wood-burned finishers medal and a ticket for a raffle featuring prizes and local gift cards. Awards are presented to the first place overall male and female finishers in both the 5K and 10K events.
The trails are located at 57 Gravelly Brook Rd, with registration options available for individual participants and families. The event proceeds contribute to the mission of providing holistic education for students ages 5 to 14. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
