Hold the Fort races at Oak Mountain State Park
The event takes place at Oak Mountain State Park, Dogwood Pavilion, in Pelham, Alabama. It includes timed road races and a short walk on park roads and trails. Park admission is included with registration.
The program features a timed 5K and a timed 10K, plus an untimed 1 Mile Warrior Walk. The three distances use the same general course layout. Timing is provided for the 5K and 10K, while the 1 mile walk is untimed.
Registration fees listed for the event are $35 for the 5K, $40 for the 10K, and $30 for the 1 mile walk. The event offers cash prizes for the top overall male and female in both the 5K and 10K, awards across 14 categories, and a chance for every participant to win a prize. The first 200 registrants are eligible to receive a complimentary event t shirt, sizes subject to availability.
Proceeds benefit Blanket Fort Hope, a 501c3 organization focused on restoring child survivors of human trafficking. Funds raised are dedicated to completing a Restoration Home and supporting related community training, development, and advocacy efforts.
