Hog Run at the Yadkin River
The Hog Run at the Yadkin River takes place in Jonesville, North Carolina on November 7, 2026, as part of the Slice of the Valley Country Ham Festival. The event offers an inaugural 5K race and a 1 mile fun run/walk on the Jonesville Greenway Trail.

The course follows the Yadkin River and uses a multi-surface trail with gravel, hard-packed dirt, and seasonal grass. The route includes gentle terrain changes and rolling ground levels along the river’s path.
All 5K participants will receive a finishers medal. Awards are given to the top three male and female overall finishers, top three master male and female, top three in each age group by gender, and a best costume prize.
Registrations completed by October 23 receive a Hog Wild 5K t-shirt; registrations after that date are eligible for shirts on a first come, first served basis during the event. Published registration fees are $30.00 for the 5K and $20.00 for the 1 mile.
Proceeds exceeding operational costs and 100% of donations will fund a country ham dinner for local families in need during the holidays. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
