About the race
The Hobble Then Gobble event on November 26, 2026 takes place at Lake Serene Clubhouse, 256 W Lake Road, Hattiesburg, MS. Participants follow a course through the Lake Serene neighborhood, beginning and ending at the clubhouse.

- 2 Miles
- 12 and under Family Fun Run
The 5 Mile Run offers awards for overall 1st place male and female, as well as Master and Grandmaster categories. Age group awards (1st, 2nd and 3rd place male and female) are offered for the following brackets: 0-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79 and 80+. The 2 Mile Walk has overall awards for the top three male and female finishers. Shirts are provided for some entries, and there is a chance to take home a frozen turkey.
Online registration closes at 11:59 pm CDT on Tuesday, November 24, 2026. Entries that guarantee a race sweatshirt must be completed by November 16, 2026. Registration fees vary by entry; examples include $30 for entries that include a sweatshirt, $20 for entries without a sweatshirt, and $10 for the family fun run. Packet pickup is at Lake Serene Clubhouse on Wednesday, November 25, 2026 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., and on the morning of the event from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. Last minute in-person registration is available at packet pickup only for $50, payable by cash, check or money order.
