HKYFS Pumpkin Run 5K, 2M & Kids Run
The event on 10/25/2026 at Haddam-Killingworth High School in Higganum, CT is a family-friendly fundraiser for Haddam-Killingworth Youth and Family Services. Proceeds support programs in counseling, substance abuse prevention, positive youth development, family programming, juvenile restorative justice, and social services.
This community event features multiple distances:
- 5K run
- 2 mile walk (not timed)
- 0.25 mile kids fun run
- 0.5 mile kids fun run
Registration fees listed are $30 for the 5K and 2-mile walk and $20 for each kids fun run. The 5K entry notes a price increase scheduled for 10/20. Registration opening and closing windows are specified for each event.
On-site offerings include warm breakfast items available for purchase, community vendors, family games, crafts, and activities. All finishers receive custom medals. A free event T-shirt is available to the first 300 registrants or to those who register by 10/13. A costume contest will award prizes for best adult, youth, and dog costumes; dogs must be friendly and remain on leashes. Music for the event will be provided by a DJ associated with Music Score.
