Historic Elizabeth Main Street 5K and Family Color Run
The event is scheduled for August 29, 2026 in Elizabeth, Colorado on Main Street and surrounding parks. It features a community 5K Run/Walk and a Family Color Run held the same day, with activities and vendors along Main Street and at nearby parks.
The 5K route goes through historic downtown Elizabeth and adjacent park areas, with a mix of paved and dirt terrain. The 5K is officially chip timed by Colorado Race Timing and official finish times are recorded for participants registered in the 5K category. The Family Color Run is an untimed, family oriented course with color stations.
Participant provisions include a souvenir bag, a complimentary pancake breakfast for participants, and one complimentary beer or non alcoholic drink from a local brewery. 5K participants receive a choice of a cooling face or neck gaiter or socks. Event medical staff and a medical tent are available at the start and finish area and along the course.
Practical details include packet pick up at Town Hall, 151 S Banner St, Elizabeth, with sessions on Thursday, August 27 and Friday, August 28. Parking is available on downtown streets with no parking on Main Street between Elm and Spruce Streets. Pets are permitted on Main Street but not on the race course.
