Hilltop U.S.A. 5K - Columbus, OH
Hilltop U.S.A. 5K is scheduled for July 4, 2026 and takes place at Glenwood United Methodist Church, 2833 Valleyview Dr, Columbus, OH 43204. The event offers both in-person and virtual participation options and supports local veterans and community running programs.
There are three participation options:
- In-person Standard 5K Run/Walk
- In-person Heavy Ruck Run 5K with required rucksack weights (male 35 lb or more, female 20 lb or more)
- Virtual 5K completed over the July 4 weekend with optional result submission
Registration for the listed events opens January 31 and closes March 31. The registration fee is $35 for these options. Participants who register receive a race shirt, a commemorative medal, and a post race serving of Sweet Tooth Ice Cream. The organizer notes that there is no race day registration.
The paved course follows the Camp Chase Trail west, loops at Wilson Road Park, and returns along the trail. The standard 5K is eligible for age group awards. Ruck divisions require participants to bring their own rucksacks; rucksacks will be weighed and must be carried for the entire course. Entry fees also provide funds to local veteran services and to the Columbus Westside Running Club. Participants are asked not to bring dogs to the event.
