Hills & Valleys 2026
Hills & Valleys is a fundraising run and walk held in Sumas, Washington. The course covers 4.45 miles over a mix of road and trail and passes through valleys and forested sections. The route includes steep climbs, rugged descents and winding singletrack. Some parts include obstacles that require climbing and crawling, and the trail sections are not stroller friendly.
Proceeds from the event benefit a local family whose member was diagnosed in January 2025 with Autoimmune Cerebellar Ataxia and now relies on a wheelchair while managing ongoing balance, vision and speech challenges. The event is positioned as a community gathering focused on support and financial assistance for treatment needs not covered by insurance.
Registration runs from March 18, 2026 through May 16, 2026. The entry fee is $50. Registrations completed before April 20 will include a race day shirt; registrations completed after that date will not receive a shirt.
After the run there is a community celebration with a charcuterie offering provided by GRAZE & GATHER. Participants must be 16 years or older to register, and walkers are permitted on the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
