Hills Triathlon Club Race 2 : Penrith
The event is part of the Hills Triathlon Club series and takes place at the Sydney International Regatta Centre in Penrith with entry through Gate A. Registration and transition are on the grassed island near the grandstand; a course map will be available at the registration tent. Registration must be completed at the transition area and competitors may be asked to show photo ID. Only competitors may enter the transition zone.
Entries close the Wednesday before the race; late entries incur an additional $25 fee and close on the following Thursday. Junior entries are capped. The withdrawal policy permits refunds of the entry fee only if requested more than seven days before the race; no refunds are given within seven days of the event.
An electronic timing chip on an ankle band is issued at registration and must be worn on the left ankle for the whole event and returned after finishing. A $75 fee applies if the timing chip is not returned. Qualified first aid personnel will be on duty and a drink station is located partway along the run leg. Toilet blocks are near the grandstand and boat shed.
Competitors must wear an Australian Standards approved bike helmet and ensure their bike is race worthy. AUS Triathlon rules apply. Transition procedures, race conduct, outside assistance, lost property, littering rules, and the pre-race briefing are explained at registration and before racing. A small children’s Dinky Derby for age six and under may follow the main event, subject to numbers and volunteer availability. Light post-race refreshments are provided.
