Highland Falls Annual 4th of July Firecracker 5K and Children’s Fun Run
This event includes a community 5K and a separate Children’s fun run in Highland Falls, New York. The 5K course measures 3.1 miles and starts near the Dunkin Donuts at 310 Main Street, finishing at the corner of Mountain Avenue and Main Street. The course is described as relatively flat and follows a designated local route. The event is held rain or shine.

Packet pickup is available at the Gazebo on the corner of Main and Mountain Avenue; packets are available the morning of the event and the night before between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm at the same location. Online registration for the 5K is shown for a stated period with a listed fee of $28.74; race-day registration is listed as $30. Shirts are available to the first 250 applicants. Awards are given 1st through 3rd in each male and female age group and for top overall male and female; age categories include 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 and above.
