Highland Falls Annual 4th of July Firecracker 5K and Children’s Fun Run
The event is a community running event taking place on July 4, 2026, in Highland Falls, New York, with the primary location listed as 310 Main Street. Runners and walkers follow a designated local route that begins near the Dunkin Donuts on Main Street and finishes at the corner of Main Street and Mountain Avenue. The course covers 3.1 miles and is described as relatively flat and fast. The event is held rain or shine.
A separate Children's Fun Run takes place shortly after the last runner or walker crosses the finish line. No registration is required for the Children’s Fun Run. Shirts will be available to the first 250 applicants.
Packet pickup is available at the gazebo on the corner of Main and Mountain Avenue. Packets can be collected the morning of the event and also the night before at the same location between 5 and 7 pm.
Prizes are awarded for 1st through 3rd place in male and female divisions in the following age groups 14 and under, 15 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, 70 to 79, and 80 and above.
