Highland Falls Annual 4th of July Firecracker 5K and Children’s Fun Run
The Highland Falls Annual 4th of July Firecracker 5K and Children’s Fun Run takes place in Highland Falls, New York. The event features two primary activities:
- 5K
- Children’s Fun Run
The 5K course is 3.1 miles long and is described as a relatively flat, fast route. Both runners and walkers are welcome to participate. The race starts near 310 Main Street and finishes at the corner of Mountain Avenue and Main Street. This event is held rain or shine.
Participants in the 5K can collect their race packets at the Gazebo on the corner of Main and Mountain Avenue. Packet pickup is available the evening before the race or on the morning of the event. Shirts are provided to the first 250 applicants.
The Children's Fun Run begins shortly after the final participant of the 5K crosses the finish line. Registration is not required for the children's portion of the event.
Awards are presented to the top male and female finishers overall. Additionally, prizes are awarded to the first, second, and third-place finishers in various age categories, ranging from 14 and under to 80 and above. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
