Highland Falls Annual 4th of July Firecracker 5K and Children’s Fun Run
This event takes place on July 4th in Highland Falls, New York. The event includes a 5K run and walk and a free Children’s Fun Run.
The 5K is 3.1 miles long and described as a relatively flat, fast course. It starts near Dunkin Donuts at 310 Main Street and finishes at the corner of Mountain Avenue and Main Street.
There is a registration fee for the 5K. Race day registration closes sharply at 7:30 AM. Technical shirts are available for the first 250 applicants. The event is held rain or shine.
Awards are given in multiple age groups for males and females, with prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, plus top male and female overall finishers. The Children's Fun Run starts shortly after the last 5K participant finishes, and no registration is required for it.
Packet pickup is available at the Gazebo on the corner of Main and Mountain Avenue on the morning of the event, as well as the evening before. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
