Highland Falls Annual 4th of July Firecracker 5K and Children’s Fun Run
The event is held in Highland Falls, New York, at 310 Main Street. It includes a 5K race and a separate children’s fun run. The 5K is 3.1 miles long and follows a designated local route that starts near the Dunkin Donuts at 310 Main Street and finishes at the corner of Main Street and Mountain Avenue. The course is described as relatively flat and fast. The event proceeds rain or shine.

Packet pickup is available at the Gazebo on the corner of Main and Mountain Avenue. Packets are available the morning of the event starting at 6:30 am and also the night before between 5 and 7 pm at the same location. Shirts are available to the first 250 applicants.
Registration details as published vary. Organizers note a $25 registration fee for runners and walkers; online pricing shows $28.74 for the Jan 15 to Jul 3 period and race day registration is listed at $30, with race day registration closing at 7:30 am. Awards are given 1st through 3rd in each male and female age group and to overall top male and female.
