High Rock Mountain Running Challenge
The High Rock Mountain Running Challenge is a running event held on August 30, 2026, at Pen Mar Park in Cascade, Maryland. The course starts and finishes in Pen Mar Park near 14600 Pen Mar Rd and visits the High Rock Overlook.
The route includes an ascent of approximately 1.8 miles to High Rock Overlook, followed by a downhill return to the park for a total distance of 3.8 miles. This is a running-only event and is explicitly not a walking event. Registered finishers receive an official High Rock Mountain finisher t-shirt.
Registration opens on March 23, 2026 and closes on August 28, 2026. The registration fee is $20 when completed by August 28, 2026 and $25 on race day. Race day registration is available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
