High Lodge Half Marathon – Autumn
The High Lodge Half Marathon is an autumn, circular trail event held at High Lodge in Thetford Forest near Brandon, IP27 0AF. The race follows a well signed, multi-terrain 13.1 mile route through forest tracks and open areas, featuring hard-packed sand, grassy footpaths and forest trails. The route passes through habitat for local wildlife including fallow deer and wild thyme and is traffic free.
The event is manually timed and has a 3.5 hour cut-off for the half marathon. Minimum age for entry is 17 years. Entry fees are listed as £25 / £27, with a finisher medal option noted. Podium trophies are awarded to the top three male and female finishers. Professional race photography is provided and toilets are available at the start and finish.
This is a cupless race to reduce single-use waste; fresh drinking water will be available for competitors to refill their own bottles at points on the course. Medical assistance is provided during the event, but all participants enter at their own risk and must be medically fit to take part. Appropriate grippy footwear is advised given the varied terrain. By entering, competitors consent to the use of photos and video footage for event and sponsor media. TRA Permit 6989 applies. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
