High Lodge Half Marathon - Autumn
The High Lodge Half Marathon - Autumn is a circular trail event based at High Lodge in Thetford Forest, Brandon, IP27 0AF. The route covers 13.1 miles of mixed, well signed terrain through forested areas that include hard packed sand, grassy footpaths and woodland trails. Wildlife such as fallow deer and wild thyme are noted along the course.
The race is manually timed, traffic free and features professional photography. Toilets are available at the start and finish. Podium trophies are awarded to the top three male and female finishers. A finisher medal is available for an additional fee. Entry fees were listed as £25 / £27 and a separate £2 fee applies to non-attached club runners to comply with UK Athletics rules.
This is a cupless event. Fresh drinking water is provided at points for competitors to refill their own bottles; single use cups are not supplied. Minimum age to enter is 17 years and there is a 3.5 hour cut off for the half marathon.
Participants enter at their own risk. Medical assistance is provided during the event but organisers and landowners accept no liability for injuries. Competitors must ensure they are medically fit to take part and are advised to wear appropriate grippy footwear for the varied terrain.
