About the race
The High Lodge Half Marathon – Autumn is a circular half-trail event through High Lodge in Thetford Forest (Brandon, IP27 0AF) held in October. The route covers 13.1 miles and follows a variety of surfaces including hard-packed sand, grassy footpaths and forest trails. The course passes through habitat for local wildlife such as fallow deer and wild thyme.
The event is a multi-terrain, traffic-free race with manual timing and professional photography. Organisers list a 3.5-hour cut-off and a minimum age of 17 years. Entry fees are shown as £25 / £27. Toilets are available at the start and finish. The race is cupless; fresh drinking water will be available for refilling personal bottles at the event rather than using single-use cups.
Awards detail that all finishers receive an eco-friendly finisher medal and podium trophies are provided for the top three male and female finishers. Race numbers are not posted in advance and must be collected at the race start on the day. A TRA permit is cited (6989).
Participants enter at their own risk. Medical assistance is provided during the event but organisers and landowners do not accept liability for injuries. Competitors are required to be medically fit to take part and appropriate grippy footwear is recommended for the varied terrain. Photos and video from the event may be used by organisers and sponsors. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
