Event
The High Lodge Half Marathon - Autumn is a 13.1 mile trail half marathon held at High Lodge, Thetford Forest, Brandon, IP27 0AF. The event is traffic free and manually timed. All finishers receive an eco-friendly medal and trophies are awarded to the top three male and female finishers. The race operates as a cupless event with fresh water available for refilling personal bottles. Toilets are available at the start and finish. Professional photography is provided.
Course and rules
The circular route follows a mix of hard-packed sand, grassy footpaths and forest trails through Thetford Forest. Wildlife in the area includes fallow deer and wild thyme. The route is well signed. Minimum age to enter is 17 years and there is a 3.5-hour cut-off for the half marathon. Competitors enter at their own risk and must be medically fit to take part. Medical assistance is available during the event, but the organisers and landowners do not accept liability for injuries. Grippy footwear is recommended for the varied terrain. Race numbers are not posted in advance and must be collected at the race start. Photos and video from the event may be used by the organisers and sponsors. TRA Permit 6989 applies.
