High Lodge Half Marathon - Autumn
The High Lodge Half Marathon - Autumn is a circular trail event held in October at High Lodge, Thetford Forest, Brandon (IP27 0AF). The distance is 13.1 miles, following a well signed route that loops through forest terrain.
The course covers multiple surfaces including hard packed sand, grassy footpaths and forest trails. The route passes through areas of natural interest where fallow deer and wild thyme are present. The event is traffic free and includes professional photography and toilet facilities at the start and finish.
Timing is manual. The race operates as a cupless event; fresh drinking water is provided at refill points but cups are not supplied. An eco friendly finisher medal is offered and trophies are awarded to the top three male and female finishers. Entry fees are listed as £25 / £27. The minimum age is 17 and a 3.5 hour cut off applies for the half marathon.
Race numbers are not posted in advance and must be collected at the race start. Participants enter at their own risk and must be medically fit to compete. Appropriate grippy footwear is recommended for varied terrain. Medical assistance will be available during the event, and organisers and landowners accept no liability for injuries.
