High Easter 10k
The High Easter 10k is a single-loop road race held in the village of High Easter, Essex on 14 June 2026. The course follows quiet tarmac country lanes and is described as fast and flat, with a road closure at the start. Route maps and GPX files are made available.
This event is included in the Essex County 10k Championships. Championship entrants must hold a current England Athletics affiliation with a valid URN, be born in Essex or resident in the county for more than nine months, and must not have competed in another county championship event in the same calendar year. It is possible to enter the race without taking part in the county championships.
Race entries list a standard fee around £28 and an on the day fee of £30 subject to availability. All finishers receive a technical t-shirt. A cash prize of £100 is offered to the leading male and female runners who beat the course records, currently Men 30:40 and Women 33:49.
The event supports three local charities: St Marys Church High Easter, Monday Muster community exercise classes, and Braintree Food Bank. Donations collected at entry are split between these charities. Previous participant feedback notes a popular village atmosphere and support on course, and some reports of limited on-course water provision around the mid point in past editions.
Off street parking is available free of charge close to the race headquarters. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
