High Easter 10k : event summary
The High Easter 10k is a road race held in the village of High Easter, Essex, on 14 June 2026. The course is a single-loop on quiet country lanes, primarily on tarmac, described by the organiser as fast and flat with a road closure at the start. Detailed route maps and GPX files are published for the course.
The event forms part of the Essex County 10k Championships. Championship eligibility requires a current England Athletics affiliation with a valid URN, birth in Essex or at least nine months residency in the county, and no participation in another county championship this calendar year. The race may also be entered without taking part in the championships.
The organiser lists a technical finisher t-shirt for all finishers and offers a £100 cash prize for the leading male and female runners who beat the course records (men 30:40, women 33:49). Price information on the event page includes an advance offer and an on‑the‑day entry fee; on-the-day entry is shown as £30.
The event supports local causes. Donations collected with entries are split between St Mary’s Church High Easter, the Monday Muster community exercise class, and the Braintree Food Bank. Past participant feedback noted clear marshalling and scenic, quiet lanes, while some reviews reported issues with the on-course water station running out of water. Off-street parking is available free of charge close to race headquarters. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
