High Easter 10k
The High Easter 10k is a 10 km road race held in the village of High Easter, Essex, with race HQ at The Village Hall, The Street, High Easter, CM1 4QS. The course is a single loop on quiet country lanes surfaced in tarmac and is described as fast and flat; there is a road closure at the start. Entries are listed as sold out.
The race forms part of the Essex County 10k Championships; entrants may also choose to enter the event without participating in the championships. To take part in the Essex Championship classification runners must hold a current England Athletics affiliation and provide a valid URN, be born in Essex or resident in the county for more than nine months, and must not have taken part in another county championship event this calendar year.
All finishers receive a technical t-shirt. A cash prize of £100 is offered to the leading male and female runners who beat the course records (men 30:40; women 33:49). The event supports three local causes: St Marys Church High Easter, the Monday Muster community exercise class, and Braintree Food Bank; donations collected at entry are split between these charities.
Off-street parking is available free of charge close to race HQ. The course is noted for countryside scenery and local support along the route. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
