High Easter 10k
The High Easter 10k is a single-loop road race on quiet country lanes around the village of High Easter, Essex. The course is described as tarmac, fast and flat, with both start and finish at The Village Hall, The Street, High Easter, CM1 4QS. Detailed route maps and GPX files are available for entrants.
The event is part of the Essex County 10k Championships. Eligibility for the county championship entry requires a current England Athletics affiliation with a valid URN, Essex birth or at least nine months residence in the county, and no participation in another county championship event in the same calendar year. The race may also be entered without championship participation.
The event supports three local causes: St Mary’s Church High Easter, the Monday Muster community exercise class, and Braintree Food Bank; donations taken during booking are split between these charities. Finishers receive a technical t-shirt, and a £100 cash prize is offered to the leading male and female runners who better the course records (Men 30:40, Women 33:49). Entry pricing is shown as £28 in advance and an on-the-day fee is listed as £30, subject to availability. Off-street parking is available free of charge close to race headquarters.
