About the race
The High Easter 10k is a road running event scheduled for 20 June 2027 in High Easter, Essex, with start and finish at The Village Hall, The Street, CM1 4QS. The race covers a single loop of quiet country lanes on tarmac, described as a fast and mostly flat course with a road closure at the start. Route maps and GPX files are made available for entrants. Off-street parking is available free of charge close to race headquarters. The event supports three local causes: St Marys Church High Easter, Monday Muster community exercise classes, and Braintree Food Bank.
Entrants can make a donation when booking and donations are split between these charities. Included for finishers is a technical t-shirt, and additional portaloo facilities are provided. There is a cash prize of £100 for the leading male and female runner who beat the course records (men 30:40, women 33:49). The organiser states that refunds, transfers and deferrals are not permitted. Post-event feedback from participants highlights a scenic, flat course, clear marshalling and good parking.
Recurring areas noted for improvement in reviews include limited toilet provision at race HQ and occasions where the on-course water station ran out. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
