High Desert Relay
The Les Schwab Tires High Desert Relay is a one-day relay event held October 3, 2026 in Powell Butte and Prineville, Oregon. The course passes through the Cascade Mountains and near Smith Rock, and includes views of the Prineville Reservoir and the Crooked River. The event runs with one van per team and offers both running and walking options.
Distances offered:
- 67.5 mile run
- 43.7 mile walk
Teams consist of four to six people. Registration opens in April 2026. Entry fees listed for 2026 are $900 for a running team and $650 for a walking team. Team packet pickup takes place on the days before and the day of the relay at locations in Portland and Brasada Ranch, and teams may send one representative to collect bibs and team items.
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is named as the event charity. St. Jude fundraising teams commit to a fundraising target of $1,500 and receive team benefits such as a jacket or tech shirt, a dedicated celebration area at the finish, complimentary beverages, and a stocked van kit.
