High Desert Relay
The Les Schwab Tires High Desert Relay is a one day relay in Powell Butte and Prineville, Oregon, held on October 3, 2026. The event routes pass through Cascade Mountain scenery and areas near Smith Rock, the Prineville Reservoir, and the Crooked River.
The event offers two course formats:
- 67.5 mile run
- 43.7 mile walk
Teams are composed of 4 to 6 people for both running and walking divisions. Registration opens in April 2026. Published team fees are $900 for a running team and $650 for a walking team.
Start lines are listed separately for the run and walk. The run start location is 16976 SW Brasada Ranch Rd, Powell Butte, OR. The walk start location is Crooked River Park, Main St, Prineville, OR.
Packet pickup is scheduled on October 1 from 12:00pm to 4:00pm at the HTC office, 7236 SW Durham Rd Suite 800, Portland, OR, and on October 3 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Brasada Ranch, 16976 SW Brasada Ranch Rd, Powell Butte, OR.
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is listed as the event charity; St. Jude fundraising teams commit to a $1,500 fundraising goal and receive event benefits such as apparel, preferred start times, and a dedicated finish area.
