High Desert Relay
The Les Schwab High Desert Relay is a one-day team relay in Powell Butte and Prineville, Oregon on October 3, 2026. Teams of four to six people complete alternating legs using a single support van. The course travels through the Cascade Mountains area and passes landmarks such as Smith Rock, Prineville Reservoir, and the Crooked River.
The event offers separate running and walking courses and publishes leg maps and past results. Start locations are listed for each discipline.
- Run course: 67.5 miles total
- Walk course: 43.7 miles total
Registration is organized by team. Fees listed in the event information are $900 for a running team (4–6 people) and $650 for a walking team (4–6 people). One team representative is requested to pick up team bibs and participant items before race day. Packet pickup dates and locations are provided prior to the event, and there is a roster deadline to guarantee shirt sizes.
The event names St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital as a charity partner and offers an option to register as a St. Jude Fundraising Team with a fundraising commitment of $1,500.
