High Desert Relay
The High Desert Relay is a one day team relay in Powell Butte and Prineville, Oregon on October 3, 2026. The event includes separate running and walking courses that pass through the Cascade Mountains, Smith Rock, the Prineville Reservoir, and the Crooked River.

- 67.5 mile run course
- 43.7 mile walk course
There are separate start locations for each division: the run starts at 16976 SW Brasada Ranch Rd, Powell Butte, OR, and the walk starts at Crooked River Park, Main St, Prineville, OR. Teams consist of four to six people. Registration fees listed are $900 for a running team and $650 for a walking team. One team representative is asked to pick up team bibs and swag before race day.
Packet pickup locations and times are scheduled prior to the event at Dicks Sporting Goods in Lake Oswego and at Brasada Ranch in Powell Butte. Key dates include the last day to add teammates for guaranteed shirt sizes on September 11, 2026, start times posting on September 23, 2026, packet pickup dates on September 30 and October 2, 2026, and the relay on October 3, 2026.
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is named as the charity partner for fundraising teams; teams choosing this option commit to fundraising $1,500 by race day and receive designated team benefits.
